Teaching Generative AI at RISD in February

In this course, which I will co-teach with a computer science faculty member, student designers and engineers will get a practical, ethical, and theoretical grounding in how to design and build with generative AI. This is one element of my work with the fabulous Masters in Design Engineering program (MADE), a program jointly offered between Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design. As I plan the course, I get more excited about the tools (text, image, video, 3D) and topics (a brief history of AI, critical and creative thinking with AI, creators rights and ethics,  designing AI system interfaces) we will study.
