Speaking about Responsible AI at the AstroAI Workshop

I had the honor of being invited to speak at the 2025 AstroAI Workshop at the Center for Astrophysics at Harvard and the Smithsonian. In an interactive session, I addressed the potential excitement and concern that researchers might have about responsibly deploying this new and rapidly changing technology. This session established a conceptual framework for the ethical use of AI and then explored how these principles can be applied to workshop participants’ projects. We delved into the core principles of AI ethics and explore methods for their implementation in research efforts and applied these concepts to real-world research scenarios.
