Governing Knowledge Commons Convergence
learning from and presenting at a conference hosted by the University of Villanova from May 21-23, 2025.
This past week I had the honor to participate in the Governing Knowledge Commons (GKC) Convergence Conference. Researchers from law, the social and behavioral sciences, computer science and engineering presented empirical and theoretical insights into commons governance of shared knowledge, information, and data resources including sessions on each of the forthcoming GKC books to be published by Cambridge University Press. The total immersion in GKC theory and study is reframing how I see my work on educational ecosystems. As a start, I'm inspired to rewrite my chapter with Samantha-Kaye Johnston in Governing Edtech in Schools and Universities.
